Hello and welcome to the first day of photoshop. Thank your for being
patient will I teach the other section of the course first.
To
start off the class, I'd like you to respond to the following questions
on your blog as I teach the first half of the class. Please work on
these quiet, and reflectively. If you finish these, make sure that you
finished your blog reflections from Thursday that ask about the
responses you received to your survey.
1. What are you looking forward to learning how to do in photoshop?
2.
What have you heard are the common things photoshop can do, i.e. "oh,
that's definitely photoshopped!" "Just photoshop me in the photo!"
3.
Do you think there many be any ethical/social concerns when using an
editing program like photoshop? What are these issues? Please answer in
paragraph form. Consider advertising, marketing, etc. Are there
copyright concerns? Self-esteem issues? Etc.
AFTER THE PRESENTATION
Getting Started With Photoshop:
Today
I will introduce you to a basic workflow that you can use for enhancing
the overall balance of your images. This is a basic and handy thing to
know how to do. We will start with the most important and work our way
to the least important: Tonal Adjustments, Colour Balance, Vibrancy.
After
the presentation, please edit 3 photos to improve their overall
quality. Take your time with this activity and achieve the best version
of the photo as possible. You can use your own photos or some from
google images but at least one of your edited photos must be once that
you took.
